Tea waste has no further usage and makes up to 10% of the tea industry. WASTEA uses the class 4 tea waste and upcycles it to a first class leather alternative.

There are no Pesticides or harmful chemical used in the production of Tea! Due to the extraordinary geographical location of its cultivation area, there is no need for watering during the entire growing process of tea.

Thanks to our interest in the latest technology and our experience in the textile sector, we are able to separate the layers of WASTEA.

First, we use the lower fabric base to generate new fabrics; then, the upper layer is shredded into  fine particles and later mixed up with cement and other natural elements.

The new material is called WASMENT. It is an advanced cement alternative with extensive features, such as Insulation (heat and cold),
durability and hardness. Our Aim is to build Schools with WASMENT in the near Future.

First the tea leaves are collected and passed to the production stage. There, the by-product of tea is dry class 4 waste, which has no further use in the industry.

The tea wastes are collected and processed to be converted into leather.

This is achieved by adding our SCAY-U and bio passed polyurethane into the wastes. Afterwards the product is finished in customer special requirements and embossed with the desired design and texture.
