WASTE FROM TEA
The plant based waste from the tea industry which is known as Class 4 waste, cannot be used for anything further on.
Since the caffein percentage is too high, it is not possible to use for feeding animals or to use it in the food industry; and as it is also not suitable for generating Bio-Energy it is the last part of its chain with no future life-cycle.
The only way to dispose of the tea waste is either burying it or re-upcycling which is more beneficial, and that’s what we do in WASTEA!

In the process, we use green energy to keep the production as ecologically sustainable as possible.
The Leather replacement is made partly of TEA WASTE. The Bio-Content in this material is between 45% and 95% !
